He is the founder and principle shareholder in MBi and its group companies, as well as CEO of Northern Powerhouse Developments Ltd.

Gavin commenced training as a solicitor early in life but subsequently decided to make the move into finance. He began as an asset financier providing automobile funding for accounting and AFI groups. Having achieved success with the enterprise, he decided to operate independently from 1999. Gavin transformed his business into asset backed financing, collaborating with banks in order to build and loan his way up to a strong asset finance book by the mid 2000’s. The 2008 financial crisis became a turning point for Gavin and his business. As clients began to default on payments as the flow of capital from institutions like banks dried up, Gavin recognised the demand for an alternate method of finance by backing his existing assets as collateral for loans. Through this innovative success the MBi group was formed, and Gavin now manages a business group that develops its own range of properties and facilities, brokers the sale of commercial property both nationally and internationally, as well as providing consulting services that are respected throughout the industry.
